The ghouls are gone and everyone?s gearing up for the next holiday ? Thanksgiving.? Teach your kids a lesson in generosity by giving back as you give thanks for the blessings that you have been bestowed.? The history might have been lost on the younger generation but the essence of this holiday should not be forgotten.? Let it be a tradition of sharing what you have with those who have less.? You do not necessarily have to be extravagant in what you are sharing.? Simple and heartfelt sharing is what is most important.
One project that you can have with your little one is to round up their excess toys, books, and clothes and donate them.? You surely have a lot of these things piling up in your child?s room or maybe even overflowing into your family room.? Have a clean-up day with your little one and pick out stuff that you can donate to the local orphanage.? Do not forget to explain to your child why you are doing so and point out to him the things he should be grateful for.
