C is for Create?&?Christmas?&?Crappy Cold.

I have the urge to create something fabulous and it has to do with Christmas and all I can do is mope around the house with a stinkin' cold, blowing my nose and sneezing. Is that normal for this time of year???

I'm sorry, I can't hear you, my head is fuzzy!

Am I the only one who has started planning their Christmas decor already? I just get so ridiculously excited that I always put my tree(s) and decorations up in the last week of November. It's kind of become a tradition...

This year for something different I'm foregoing the usual sparkly tinselly bling and crafting an entirely new to me casual Christmas style......I'm dreaming of a laid back Aussie type of Christmas decor using mostly what I already have around the house and finds from nature and a few craft supplies. I have so many ideas going round in my head (and a lot of snot) that I need to start writing them down......

I'm in love with my new old palm tree candle holders (70's style drinking glasses - 50 cents each at an op shop). They look great with my palm tree candle stick (also thrifted and painted white)
The little shell you can just see in front was an Etsy purchase. I thought it was 7 inches when I bought it so you can imagine the look on my face when I opened the parcel with this sweet little 7cm shell......priceless. (I'm sure we've all had that happen before.)

A fascinating vignette......a birds nest with a bird feather fascinator.
My favourite book this week......Casual Living......it really resonated with me, so much so that I think I'll be referring to it a lot......if you don't already have it but love a comfortably decorated home that's not too overdone and expensive then you'll love this book.
